Experienced Chefs - Sous Chef , Production Chef and Pastry Chef
The BW Events Group includes Glen Albyn Estate , Waterline Lounge Bar and Eatery, Seagrass Longpoint and luxury vessel Mustique We are a dynamic group with some off Hobart’s most prized waterfront locations.
Our range of food experiences range from fine dining to casual breakfast and lunch beach side café dining.
We are unique and fun, and we are looking for individuals who just LOVE to COOK! Current roles are casual and partime but could grow to full time
Must have experience in fast paced a la carte service kitchens and or familiar with productions kitchens and producing large scale volume productions…………WE OFFER VARIETY!
We produce from scratch , we brine , we smoke , we infuse, we sous vide, we have our own sourdough starter , we blast chill , we only use the best Tasmanian produce, we have an amazing kitchen for you to SHINE…..oh and all kitchens have a view!!
Requirements:
- 2-5 year’s experience in a qualified similar role
- Food preparation and cooking, plating, presentation
- High standards of cleaning and hygiene in the kitchen
- Proficiency in all aspects of food safety, including HACCAP
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, presenting quality and consistent food
- Positive communication skills, energy and attitude
- Experience working in a high volume venue
- Be flexible and reliable
- Love cooking and passionate about food
- Enjoy working with a close nit team
- Must have Australian Residence Visa
Your duties and responsibilities:
- Demonstrate sophisticated cooking skills and techniques
- Liaise with the Head and coordinate with all kitchen staff
- Preparing, cooking, and serving high quality dishes
