The Role & The Team
As the Specialist Administrative Officer, you will play a integral part in supporting the operational environment within Airservices.
In this unique role, you will be required to provide real-time administrative support to Airservices’ Line Leaders, Director Operations, Shift Managers and Air Traffic Controllers across 4 Air Traffic Services Centres and 29 Towers
This role will include:
- Co-ordination of short notice Air Traffic Control shift replacements
- Ensuring compliance with filing and licencing processes
- Providing administrative support such as preparing reports, documents, and spreadsheets
- Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders
- Coordinating maintenance of operational and office needs
This role will require shift work as a member of a national team covering 7 days per week.?

The Person
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- Strong problem-solving skills and being able to identify inconsistencies and escalate these issues appropriately
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- The ability to collaborate with other team members and work independently effectively
- Ability to multitask, work quickly and maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Hold or ability to obtain an ASIC
Desirable skills and experience include:
- High level of proficiency in using rostering applications in real-time.
- High level of computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office
- Good working knowledge of SAP, Orbit or similar systems.
- Good working knowledge of Industrial Agreements and Fatigue Management System applications
- Quick learner with a high level of resilience and motivation.
