AddressToowoomba Cardiac Centre is currently seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist for our busy Specialist Practice within St Vincent’s Hospital, Toowoomba. Toowoomba Cardiac Centre provides comprehensive and compassionate care to improve the experience and outcomes for patients.
As a team, we provide exceptional service to our patients with a caring nature and professionalism at all times. To succeed in this role, you will bring a professional administrative skillset and, ideally, experience within the Healthcare Industry.
Duties include:
• Providing first line contact with patients in a friendly and courteous manner via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
• Attending to general daily email enquiries from patients and surgeries
• Preparing and running our Clinics
• Preparing admission paperwork and quotes for patients
• Emailing theatre lists for scheduled surgeries
• Liaising with Hospitals, Anaesthetists, Medicare & other health providers
• Data entry and scanning of medical documents
• Proof reading of letter correspondence back to referring Doctors
The ideal candidate will preferably have the following skills and attributes.
• Professionalism and confidentiality
• Excellent patient service and communication skills
• A professional appearance and exceptional spoken and written English
• Mature minded, caring & an understanding nature
• A team player who is always happy to help their colleagues
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Knowledge of health fund billing, Medicare & DVA
• Punctuality and being flexible with hours (when needed)
• Genie and Eclipse software knowledge preferred
• Health Link knowledge for sending patient letter correspondence
• Being able to prioritise, being highly organised and thinking one step ahead
• Willing to learn and take on new responsibilities
• A passion for patient service with a calm, caring and professional manner
• Ability to work collaboratively, as part of a team as well as independently

Remuneration is negotiable based on experience. It is a mandatory condition of employment to be vaccinated for COVID-19.
