About the role:
A key member of the Quality team, the Student Liaison Officer is central to student success. This is achieved by developing open communication channels, overseeing strategies to overcome potential barriers and systematically monitoring progression throughout the student lifecycle.
In this role, your responsibilities include:
- Deliver course information sessions via zoom, to groups and individuals
- Conduct Pre-Training Reviews
- Ensure enrolment applications are complete and accurate
- Assess Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills against course entry requirements
- Develop Learning Management Plans
- Liaise with students, trainers, employers and other stakeholders
- Monitor student progression
- Identify students at risk, and work with relevant stakeholders to support student success
- Maintain records relevant to the role including updates to the student management system
- Undertake projects that support the quality and compliance of the RTO
About you:
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience and credentials outlined below:
- Excellent communicator with the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with people from a range of backgrounds
- Desire to help others to succeed
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in an RTO
- Knowledge of the requirements of the Skills First Funding Contract
- Knowledge of the Standards for RTOs 2015
- Experience using a Student Management System (preferably VETtrak)
- Experience using a Learner Management System (preferably aNewSpring)
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, Zoom
- Detail focused and systematic in your approach
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
Qualifications:
Essential
- TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills; or
- TAELLN421 Integrate core skills support into training and assessment; or
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
