About the Job
As a valued and integral member of the Supply Chain Finance team, your role will be to partner with our plant operations and logistics teams, providing high quality reports and insights on CHEP’s service delivery and plant network. Based at our Macquarie Park office, this role reports directly to the Senior Manager – Commercial Supply Chain Finance.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Business partner with the plant operations and logistics team to achieve short and long-term targets
- Prepare and analyse month end direct cost and operations reports
- Provide detailed financial analysis and commentary to identify efficiency improvements
- Conduct technical cost analysis and calculation of volume, mix and efficiency variances at each plant
- Engage with key stakeholders to constantly drive for change and improve the reporting and analysis of direct costs
- Support operations in making sound investment decisions, including business case development and measuring returns through post investment reviews

What will ensure your success:
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance/Accounting or a related discipline
- CA/CPA qualified or studying towards
- Solid experience in a commercial finance role, ideally within a large complex multi-national business. Exposure to the Supply Chain, Logistics or FMCG sectors would be advantageous
- An understanding of cost drivers
- Experience in business partnering and managing stakeholders
- A curious mindset with good critical thinking capability and strong problem solving skills
- Strong advanced level Excel skills with some exposure to Power BI preferred
