Support Officer End User Computing 3130 | Information Communication & Technology | Toowoomba CBD Closing date: 22/01/2024 JOIN A WORKPLACE THAT HAS RICH TRADITIONS AND BOLD AMBITIONS About You As the Support Officer End User Computing at Toowoomba Regional Council you will manage the lifecycle of End User Computing applications and devices including computers and peripherals, mobile handsets, uninterruptible power supplies and audio-visual equipment used in Council, aligning with the existing lifecycle strategy supporting hardware upgrades and replacements. You will be required to exercise judgement to manage and negotiate competing priorities to achieve quality outcomes. Using your Specialised understanding of End User Computing functions to ensure compliance with best practice will enable you to provide high level technical advice and support to all levels across Council. About the position The Support Officer End User Computing position provides support and management of Council’s End User Computing environment as part of the Technology Services team. This position applies knowledge and skills to support Council’s End User Computing environment, including the Standard Operating Environment (SOE) for PC’s and Citrix XenApp environment, uninterruptible power supplies, audio visual equipment and mobile computing fleet. This is a permanent full-time position based in Toowoomba’s CBD. The annual salary range for this position is $84,383.41 - $87,970.19 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation. How to be successful in this position Assist in the development and delivery of the End User Computing Strategy alongside contributing to the implementation and delivery of small, moderate and complex projects to align with the End User Computing Strategy. Administer, support, and improve Council’s End User Computing environment systems to meet business requirements. Administer, support and maintain Council’s End User Computing management systems to deliver application deployment and management services, system and security patching, and device management services.
