ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for someone who is passionate about sustainability and who has experience implementing and delivering sustainability programs.
Main responsibilities
- Collaborate with Moose team members and experts globally to support Moose in achieving its company-wide, sustainability goals.
- Engage with colleagues including Product, Packaging, Marketing, and Operations to support the measurement and reduction of our Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, and contribute to the creation of development roadmaps.
- Support the development and maintenance of sustainability requirements, policies, design guides and criteria for Moose's products, packaging, and other materials. Help the design and development teams with new products, evaluating sustainability risks and opportunities.
- Work with suppliers and strategic external partners to measure and reduce our Scope 3 emissions.
- Further aid supplier management by collaborating with our Procurement team to identify and connect with existing and emerging suppliers.
- Collaborate with Compliance and Quality teams to update specifications aligning with Moose's sustainability guidelines.
- Support the compliance of Extended Producer Responsibility and other external reporting requirements.
- Identify and assess emerging issues in the circular economy to shape Moose's sustainable product and packaging strategies.
ABOUT YOU
- 5+ years of professional experience working in either sustainability, product design, manufacturing or procurement related role, ideally in consumer products
- Solid understanding of carbon accounting, and the Science-Based Target Initiative.
- Adept problem-solving skills, coupled with a genuine enthusiasm for ideation, sustainability, and continual improvement.
- Possess expertise in technical product, packaging, or sustainable materials knowledge, and/or has hands-on experience in direct procurement.
- Strong business acumen, effectively bringing ideas to fruition and garnering support throughout the organization.
- Familiarity with sustainability/supply chain engagement tools and platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in sustainability-related field.
