About ARTC

The Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) plays a critical role in the national transport supply chain and in the overall economic development of Australia. Managing and operating more than 8,500 km of track in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and Queensland, makes ARTC one of Australia's largest rail network owners.

The Inland Rail Program is a 1600km rail infrastructure project stretching from Brisbane to Melbourne incorporating new and existing rail track. The program includes the upgrading of existing standard gauge track, the enhancement of existing standard gauge track to cater for double stacking and the construction of new standard gauge links comprising of viaducts, tunnels, rail track, crossings and bridges. About the opportunity
Reporting the Organisational Effectiveness Lead the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for the delivery of the end to end recruitment process for the Inland Rail Program. Within the talent specialist role you will be required to support all facets of the program recruiting for corporate, project delivery and project development roles.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing the resourcing process from job brief through to candidate selection
  • Providing advice to internal Stakeholders on the recruitment process, systems and tools
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders
  • Ensuring the implementation of recruitment processes safeguarding fair selection criteria, diversity and inclusion requirements are met
  • Development and management of a talent pipeline aligning with current demand and the strategic resourcing plan
  • Management of external relationships for delivery of recruitment and related services
  • Partnering closely with HR Business Partners to ensure efficiency, effectiveness and that maximum output is achieved when delivering to the business
  • Providing a great end to end Candidate and Client experience

About you
Based from our Sydney offices, you will possess extensive experience in sourcing and identifying the best talent through numerous channels including LinkedIn, database searches, referrals and job boards. Additionally, you should possess strong stakeholder engagement and management skills ensuring a great experience for both candidates and clients through the recruitment process.

To ensure success in this position, applicants will be able to demonstrate:

  • 5+ Years' experience within an EPCM or owners' team in a construction or heavy industry environment
  • Previous internal experience recruiting technical white-collar capability within a fast-paced environment
  • Proven experience in delivering recruitment solutions of technical project and engineering personnel.
  • Experience in developing talent pools in order to enable optimal selection decisions
  • Experience in maintaining & update recruitment application tracking systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Formal qualifications in either a Human Resource or similarly related discipline will be considered advantageous.
