THE OPPORTUNITY
In this role, you'll have the chance to shine a spotlight on Dubbo Regional Council's remarkable parks, lush greenspaces, and sporting facilities in Wellington, both for the local community and visitors to our region. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including the management and coordination of sporting facility maintenance, biosecurity measures, as well as horticultural and arboriculture services.
Collaboration will be at the heart of your role, as you'll closely collaborate with various departments within the Council, you'll maintain strong partnerships with community groups and stakeholders. Your work will contribute significantly to enhancing facilities for our residents and to appeal our region to guests from near and far.
ABOUT YOU
You are an accomplished professional with an extensive background in horticulture or natural resource management, boasting a deep understanding of the best practice and commitment to showcasing the best of our parks, greenspace and sporting facilities.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED
Certificate IV in Horticulture or related field with a willingness to undertake further study in a related field.
Proven experience in leading horticultural teams and experience in planning and programming works.
Ability to initiate, develop and maintain strong working relationships with team members.
Demonstrated high level communication and inter-personal skills.
Demonstrated competence in MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook and MS Project.
Ability to monitor and manage budgets for one off and recurring projects.
Construction Induction ticket.
Class C Drivers Licence.
