My client is an innovative manufacturer of specialty chemicals as well as having exclusive distribution rights for a number of aligned product ranges from well known overseas manufacturers.
With a loyal existing customer base and some exciting new product lines, it is looking to appoint an experienced Technical Sales Representative to its Melbourne team.
The company supplies specialty chemicals and engineering polymers broadly into the extrusion and injection moulding industries in Melbourne and regional Vic.
This role would appeal to an experienced industrial chemical Sales Representative with strong business development skills as the role is focussed on building sales of new product lines to new and existing clients.
Applications are open to all experienced industrial Sales Representatives, however preference will be given to those with experience selling engineering polymers and specialty additives. It would suit an individual that likes to take ownership of a product range and who is looking to grow with the business.
The company has strong inhouse technical and applications support.
The ideal candidate is likely to have qualifications in either chemistry or polymer science or may have worked in a technical capacity in the plastics industry prior to getting into sales. However, we are happy to hear from any suitably experienced candidate who feels they have the experience and drive to succeed at this role.
You must also have strong communication skills and be comfortable using modern communication, sales planning and reporting systems.
