We are seeking the skills of a Technical Sales Representative (Industrial Products) to sell overhead cranes, winches and hoists within the state of Victoria.
The Role:
To generate sales for the company’s products which incorporates both technical and business development duties
Essential Skills Required:
- in-depth knowledge of the extensive range of Abus EOT hoist and components
- Abus specific specialised training
- ABUkonfis Crane engineering and estimating Programme Ver.5.11 (covering the design, engineering and final offer proposals for equipment sold within the EOT crane industry)
- experience in hoist and component section to suit the applications depending on client requirement
- minimum 5 years similar crane industry experience
- strong desire to achieve goals
- outstanding customer service skills
- mechanical or electrical aptitude
Tasks Include:
- compiling lists of prospective client businesses using directories and other sources
- generate leads through research into current and upcoming projects, internet scanning, cold calling, tender databases
building a rapport with current and potential clients, EPC and EPCM companies with a view toward long term relationships acquiring and updating knowledge of employers' and competitors' goods and services, and market conditionsvisiting regular and prospective client businesses to establish and act on selling opportunitiesassessing customers' needs and recommending and explaining goods and services to themmonitoring customers' changing needs and competitor activity, and reporting these developments to sales managementquoting and negotiating prices and credit terms, and completing contracts and recording ordersarranging delivery of goods, installation of equipment and the provision of servicesreporting to sales management on sales made and the marketability of goods and servicesfollowing up with clients to ensure satisfaction with goods and services purchased, and resolving any problems arisingpreparing sales reports and maintaining and submitting records of business expenses incurredThis is a rare opportunity to join a dynamic company focused on growth and development and being
