The Opportunity
This position is integral to our Technical Service team, dedicated to delivering exceptional service to customers for the optimal performance of equipment in terms of safety, productivity, and reliability.
As the Lead Technical Service Representative, you will spearhead service provision, oversee customer relationship management, drive operational excellence, and foster continuous improvement within the Technical Service Representative team.

Key responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the daily operations of the Technical Service Representative team
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers to enhance equipment availability, reliability, and productivity
- Conduct on-site visits to address major technical issues, document observations, and investigate/resolve machine-related concerns
- Ensure thorough event reporting to OEM in accordance with the Global Service Policy & Procedure Manual
- Swiftly resolve technical issues, minimizing customer downtime by supporting Komatsu Service Technicians
- Assist in updating manuals and procedures to align with equipment specifications and modifications
- Deliver on-the-job training for customer maintenance and operating personnel, covering routine maintenance and diagnostic techniques
- Aid customers in parts identification, sourcing, pricing, and ordering, addressing any related issues
- Collaborate in planning and coordinating Komatsu work within the scope of site contracts, including warranty work and major component changes

Your Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Possess a high degree of mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting complicated hydraulic, mechanical and electrical technical problems on Komatsu mining equipment
- Desirable expertise with P&H 4100XPCAC Electric Face Shovel, Electric Drive Trucks, 1850 Electric Wheel Loader, PC5500 Excavator
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing a team of skilled technicians
- Valid C Class Driver's Licence
- Familiarity with maintenance targets, including availability, reliability, parts management, and component life cycle management.
- Proficiency in cultivating robust relationships with both internal teams and external customers
- Always have a high standard of Customer service whilst always promoting Komatsu Products and Services
