Technical Writer

• Full Time Fixed Term (6 month) opportunity
• Based in any of our CMI Offices in Speers Point, Singleton or Woonona with Hybrid work arrangements

About the role:

As a Technical Writer within the Operational Excellence and Compliance team, you will work with operational and technical staff to obtain an in-depth understanding of documentation requirements, produce high quality documentation and supporting materials to communicate complex and technical information for systems, processes, and procedures to support the ongoing capability within the business.

About you:

Your education, experience and skills will include:

• Tertiary studies or relevant technical training and/or certification.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Technical Writer role delivering technical / functional manuals, technical documentation, and support materials for training programs.
• Experience ‘testing’ documentation in process and system to validate documentation.
• Demonstrated capability in consulting with a range of stakeholders on requirements and specifications for manuals and technical documentation. 
• 3-5 years’ experience in web development, graphic design, multi-media, and Enterprise Content Management systems (desirable) 
• Experience in insurance, Workers Compensation and/ or regulatory environments (desirable).
• Highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite products including intermediate to advanced skill level of MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, demonstrating excellent priority management.
