IntroductionWe are seeking a Technology Manager to join our Aftermarket & Minerals Sales Teams in Asia-Pacific. In this newly created position, you will be responsible for promoting and growing Metso’s Concorde Cell Technology. In addition, you will act as a product expert in the Market Area (Asia-Pacific) by working in conjunction with customers, engineering houses, site account managers and the global business line teams to build the opportunity funnel and deliver Concorde Cell Technology Solutions to our customers.In this position, you will report to the Vice President, Sales & Service Australia East. This position is ideally located in Brisbane, other locations in Eastern States might be considered.. We are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. This position will require up to 30-50% of travel - both domestic and internationally. Team you belong toYou will join a dedicated team who are passionate about what they do. The members in our team are located around Australia. You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, such as technical sales support, proposals managers and product line management to identify customer challenges and goals, to proactively provide recommendations and solutions to meet customer requirements.What you’ll doResponsible for growing the Minerals Concorde Cell portfolio in Asia-PacificDevelop and grow existing opportunities and identify new opportunities by understanding customer challenges and goals and proposing suitable solutionsReview inquiries and work with customers and stakeholders to determine the scope of supply and selection of the solution/s to provide the “best-fit” solution offering to their challengeSupport customers in flotation plant audits and sampling campaigns by providing advice, supervision and if required conducting the samplingDevelop and communicate compelling value propositions to convert opportunities to salesImplement effective sales and business strategies, with the emphasis on solution sellingEnsure technical and commercial integrity of the proposed solutions with the goal to meet or exceed customer expectationsIdentify cross-sell and upsell opportunities for Aftermarket & Minerals portfolio into other solution offeringsContinuously follow-up the opportunity pipeline with customers and internal stakeholdersDemonstrate a good understanding of the market and competitor proposition.Present entire Aftermarket & Minerals portfolio, its capabilities and business value to customers and internal stakeholdersAttend business meetings with customers as requiredPromote Metso’s Concorde Cell Technology at trade shows, conferences, webinars and customer-seminarsContribute to sales materials, budgeting, continuous improvement of tools and way of workingWho you areA Metallurgist or Chemical Engineer with at least 5 years of practical experience in technical sales, metallurgy, or mineral processing – site experience highly regardedSuccessful track-record of sales achievementsExcellent ability to understand technical solutions for mineral processing applicationsProven ability to conduct flotation audits, analyze data and offer process improvements to the customerGood capability to understand technical documentation, drawings, process flow and instrumentation diagramsPassion for continuous learning in mineral and metallurgical processing, flotation, and solutionsA high degree of commercial acumen (i.e. excellent communication skills, business development, contract negotiation, marketing skills) and a good understanding of common commercial terms, business models and practices used in international tradeDemonstrated capability of meeting strict time constraints, task prioritization and managing expectations of internal and external customersFluent verbal and written communication in English language for external and internal meetings and presentations, success stories & articles, webinars, social mediaGood command of Microsoft 365 software tools, Salesforce CRM and virtual meeting systemsExcellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgroundsResults driven whilst maintaining a collaborative and constructive relationship with team membersWillingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (estimate 30-50% annually)What's in it for youA work environment where safety is always the number one priority A competitive base salary reflective of your skills and experience with annual incentive programAdditional Annual Leave benefit for all permanent and maximum term employeesFlexibility in your working lifestyle – our team manages their own balance of working from home and in our office environmentGender Neutral Paid Parental Leave of 18 weeks at full payPaid Volunteer Leave so you can give back to the local community Active Social Club and company wide social events as your social wellness is important to usFamily focused events as your family forms part of our close-knit communityComprehensive medical benefits including discounted private health insurance Company provided Salary Continuance insurance coverCareer development & education assistance to further your technical and leadership ambitions Get in touchWant to rise above the possible with us?
