The Role
The PTA is looking to establish a pool of highly skilled Ticketing Systems Engineers for a period of 12 months to provide technical design, development, support, and strategic advice to support Transperth Ticketing Systems relevant to achieving business and operational objectives.
In this position, you will develop appropriate technical designs and supporting documentation to adhere to PTA design, security, and project guidelines. You will work proactively to resolve limitations with existing systems, identify feasible enhancements and take responsibility for their planning and implementation.
About you
The successful candidate will have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to tailor communication of complex systems at a level suitable to recipients with limited or extensive technology knowledge and demonstrated experience in providing leadership to others that contributes to the achievement of agreed outcomes for a team.
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Possession of an information technology management related qualification or considerable recent experience with a broad range of IT support or development activities.
- Demonstrable experience in SQL database support and development.
- Demonstrable experience in the support, development or management of a complex, modern IT system requiring an understanding of multiple IT disciplines.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Windows Server and SQL Server versions, supportability, and life span.
- Knowledge and experience of contemporary IT tools, products and methodologies.
- Experience in the secure storage, access and distribution of sensitive information.
There is currently one (1) full time permanent position available for immediate appointment. Initially this selection process will be used to fill the above vacancy, but it may also be used to appoint to similar positions that may arise in the agency within the next twelve (12) months on a permanent or fixed-term basis with the possibility of further extension(s) and/or permanency.
