SEIT Outback Australia , operating out of Yulara and Uluru and Kata Tjuta National Park, is looking for an Operations Manager to join the team on the ground at our Ayers Rock depot.

The Role

Reporting to the Northern Territory General Manager of AAT Kings, the primary purpose of this role is to provide hands on leadership & management in all operational areas of SEIT Yulara.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for the day to day operations of SEIT tours and will ensure that the product delivery of SEIT meets the SEIT Outback Australia standard.

  Key responsibilities will include:

• Establish and maintain weekly phone conferencing/ meeting / reporting with company stakeholders.
• Manage all tours including costs, safety, productivity, and quality outcomes for all tours & overall operations.
• Facilitate compliance with all legislative requirements relating to staff, vehicles, and the depot.
• Coordinate vehicle utilisation with other managers for the National Fleet to achieve maximised utilisation
• Work together with workshop staff to ensure vehicles are presented and utilised at optimum levels.
• Co-ordinate registration of fleet vehicles and any licensing requirements.
• Incident management, including breakdowns, accidents, and client incidents, including guest complaints.
• Administrative duties including updating passenger lists, maintaining mileage and fuel usage records, issuing and control of uniforms and keys, invoicing, reporting, data input.
• Ensure all administration requirements in relation to tours, including OH&S and fatigue management requirements are adhered to.
• Co-ordinate all aspects of recruitment, training, and performance
• Conduct appraisals, development, and counselling as per company procedures.
• Ensure all team members are trained to the highest level & have the tools, training.

The Candidate

We are looking for a  leader that can manage multiple tasks at once whilst maintaining strong communication across the business.  You will have previous team management experience.

To be successful you will have:

• Previous Logistics and/or Tourism experience an advantage
• Background in touring/guiding and travel an advantage
• Vehicle co-ordination knowledge an advantage
• Competent with administration duties and tasks.
• High level of attention to detail and a great problem solver
• Team player with and the ability to lead and motivate staff
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
• Continually contribute to the improvement of processes and systems through feedback and action
