Your new role
This role forms part of a busy trading team and has close liaison with an existing portfolio of international customers to determine their future steel product needs and by identifying and investigating suppliers who can add new steel products to the company’s current portfolio of products to drive sales growth. Responsibilities include:
- Oversee a portfolio of existing accounts and generate your own qualified leads
- Prioritise work demands to manage customer retention activities and new business activities
- Establish & maintain a regular face to face and/or call cycle for both existing customers and prospects
- Negotiate quote and agree on price, conditions, and any other special requirements
- Prepare and conduct presentations Purchase Tenders/Contracts in accordance with delegated levels of authority
What you'll need to succeed
Steel Trading experience or steel sales experience in internal or client-facing sales. Steel distribution experience would also be considered. Demonstrated experience working with stakeholders of all levels and influencing situations to achieve strategic outcomes. Applicants who reside on the Lower or Upper North shore/ Northern Beaches are encouraged to apply.
