We’re offering a two(2) year traineeship which combines full-time employment with paid training andon the job experience.
What’s the catch? Youwill need to work in a fun and hilarious team of HR experts. To make it worse,the team is truly supportive. That’s right, you’ll be guided through yourtraineeship with care and precision to ensure every success for you. We’ll bethere, training you on every task in the role, placing a network of supportaround you, encouraging you to undertake ongoing professional development, andeven giving you time in your working week to complete your studies.
In return, we’ll askyou to use the skills gained from your training adventures to completeadministrative and customer service tasks within the People & Culture team.We exist to support Council staff to service the community, and you will be avaluable part of this mission.
No two days will be thesame in your Trainee Business Support Officer era. Today you could be leadingservice delivery answering phones, making calls to invite people to attend ajob interview, managing diaries and calendars and sending emails, and tomorrowyou could be updating spreadsheets, processing invoices, setting up promotionalmaterial at a careers day and shopping for stationery. You will learn to use arange of technology applications and have a laugh along the way.

Traineeship information
This traineeship will provide you with theopportunity to gain valuable knowledge in both local government and humanresource management whilst being supported to learn and grow in a friendly andenjoyable working environment. Across 24 months you will work fulltime (35-hourweek) alongside experienced supervisors and colleagues, gaining hands-onindustry experience and receiving 3 hours paid study time per week towardsachieving a nationally recognised Certificate III in Business Administrationqualification.
As the successful applicant, you will need:
- Awillingness to undertake the formal training requirements of this role (evenbetter if you’re excited by it!)
- Experienceusing Microsoft Office applications
- Enthusiasm,motivation and an eagerness to learn
