The Role
Reporting to the Accountant and Accounts Payable Team Leader, you will be responsible for the accurate recording of transactions as they occur, managing suppliers’ invoices, cash matching and supplier accounts reconciliation.
Key Roles & Responsibilities (but not limited to):
Accounts Payable tasks:
- Handle stakeholder queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Process supplier invoices and credit notes daily and on a timely basis.
- Complete three-way matching of invoices via supply chain management system.
- Assist with the preparation of payment proposals and distribution of payment remittances.
- Process employee expense claims.
- Daily reconciliation of supplier payments.
- Reconciliation of supplier statements.
- Complete finance review of corporate credit card transactions on a daily basis.
- Assisting with Accounts Payable Accruals.
- Review and reconciliation of monthly fixed costs.
- Reconciliation of cross-entity credit card transactions.
This role requires full working rights in Australia (no current or future sponsorship).
You possess at least 1-2 years of Accounts Payable experience, with sound knowledge of organisational accounting procedures and well-developed prioritisation and time management skills, and ability to work to deadlines.
You have strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy and quality in work and are a strong communicator (both verbal and written).
Additionally, you also possess;
- Good record-keeping ability.
- Ability to organise and control large accounting systems.
- A high level of discretion for handling confidential information and monetary transactions.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Skilled in responding to setbacks in an agile and resilient manner.
- Emotionally intelligent, you demonstrate empathy, connection, and assertiveness.
