A outstanding opportunity has opened up for a junior accounting professionals to join our Finance team. Reporting to Finance Accountant, this role will involve and expose to all accounting related duties to further develop the skill set in the area.
Your Daily Responsibilities include:
- Invoice processing – receive, review, and verify vendor invoices
- Payment processing – prepare and process payments to vendors while adhering to payment terms and deadlines
- Vendor management – maintain effective communication with vendor’s accounts receivable (finance) department to handle inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies
- Expense reports – review and process employees expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and proper documentation
- Reconciliations – conduct regular accounts payable records to ensure accuracy and completeness and resolve discrepancies
- Invoicing and billing – generate and distribute accurate and timely invoices to customers
- Collection management – monitor and track outstanding receivable balances, implement collection strategies to ensure timely and effective payment collection, communicate with customers to resolve payment issues
- Cash receipt allocation – apply received payments accurately to customers accounts
- Customer account reconciliation – investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances in account balances
- Reporting and analysis – prepare and analyse ageing reports and regular updates in status of collections and outstanding balances to management
- Credit management – assess credit worthiness of new and existing customers with appropriate credit limits and terms based on established guidelines
Experience and Skills that we look for :
- Tertiary Qualifications in Accounting with focus on either in accounts payable or accounts receivable
- Minimum one year (including Internship) experience in similar role/capacity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ERP/MRP
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to document procedures and policies and be proactive in doing so.
- Contribute constructively and work co-operatively in a team environment.
- Able to assess, respond to and resolve issues quickly.
- Develop constructive relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Logical problem solver who thinks “outside the square”.
- Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) will be highly regarded.
