About the role:
As a Transport Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative functions within the distribution centre, you will be involved in reporting, working closely with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders. You will have daily contact with carriers to ensure obligations are met.
About you: This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about Customer Service, Transport and Administration who is task-focused, highly organised, and able to work autonomously as well as part of a dynamic team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Fully understand requirements of the customer on a day-to-day basis
- Ensure all KPIS are met
- Daily liaison with nominated carriers
- Working closely with the Contract Manager and the State Transport Manager
- Reporting
- Assisting with billing & invoicing reconciliation
- Ensuring safety compliance is being adhered to
- Reporting all claims / shortages / lost in transit.
- Adhoc administration
Skills & Abilities:
- Proven ability to provide excellent customer service
- Proficient with MS Office
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure within a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
