YOUR ROLE
The Transport Operations Manager leads a large multi-site team comprising transport cross-dock, fleet control and administration based from our Truganina campus and reporting to the State Transport Manager VIC/TAS.
The role is accountable for the safe, service-oriented, cost-effective and timely distribution and receipt of all transport services to CEVA customers.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Specifically, you will:

• Take ownership of the profit and loss; develop and implement operational and recurring budgets and forecasts; and monitor and manage costs by analysing reports and implementing actions to increase revenue or reduce costs
• Manage weekly billing files and ensure accurate and timely invoicing
• Prepare, monitor, communicate, and interpret all KPI and customer reporting requirements
• Establish productivity and cost measurement tools, along with action plans to achieve agreed stretch targets
• Work closely with the State Transport Manager on productivity templates, measurements, and targets
• Provide productivity results to suppliers and service providers monthly or as required, monitoring and verifying the integrity of data
• Supporting distribution opportunities, designing, costing, and communicating innovative transport solutions for business development proposals.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our ideal candidate has significant experience leading multi-site transport operations in a 3PL or similar environment, together with:

• Proven success in leading, developing and engaging teams
• Proven success in managing a P&L, and contributing to customer and financial growth objectives
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong applied understanding of CoR and transport compliance requirements generally
• Strong safety leadership and continuous improvement focus / mindset.

In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
