About the role
This fast paced and interesting role offers you the opportunity to utilise your experience working in a busy Control Room. The position is primarily responsible for the safety of staff, visitors, residents and the general public, through monitoring screens to deter security breaches.
- Monitor screens and CCTV to ensure assets are protected, to deter offenders, to detect any signs of a security breach
- Respond to critical incidents and simultaneously prepare written reports
- Interact with key stakeholders including, building management, emergency services, client representatives and security officers via phone, radio and intercom systems
- Practice and implement health and safety processes including risk assessments
- Provide remote access to buildings via building access control systems
Skills and experience:
- Previous experience working in a Control Room
- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
- High level of computer literacy (Word, Excel, Access Control systems)
- Strong awareness of surroundings
- Excellent customer service
Required qualifications and licences:
- Certificate III in Security Operations
- Current Security licence; including Control Room endorsement
- Current First Aid
- Current drivers licence
- Full working rights
- Work With Children Check
