Our Community and Library Venues contribute to the City of Sydney’s vision for a socially just and inclusive city by providing the broader community with access to a variety of venue spaces for a diverse range of activities. The Venue Support Officer position is responsible for maintaining the efficient and effective operation of all bookings for Community and Library venues.
We are seeking a highly motivated person with transferrable experience and skills, interested in working in a high paced, challenging environment within a small team.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- experience in a similar role or transferable skills and experience, including in customer facing roles
- excellent written and oral communication skills
- established computer skills in Microsoft Office programs and TRIM (or similar), as well as the ability to learn unfamiliar software and local processes quickly and apply these skills efficiently with minimum supervision
- the ability to effectively prioritise high volumes of work and respond flexibly to competing priorities
- ability to work effectively in a team environment, supporting colleagues to provide positive outcomes
The role is mainly office based but does require attendance at Community and Library venues for hire.
