Job Summary:

The Village Coordinator supervises the performance of the Accommodation Village provider, including monitoring quality, consistency in operations, and continuously looks to identify early opportunities to improve services and standards, where possible. The Village Coordinator is the Accommodation Village focal representative for all Village relations, working closely with the broader Workforce Services team, in accordance with the Project’s overall Workforce Services Strategy. This is a camp-based position, and the successful candidate will need to commit to a 2/1 FIFO roster for the duration of the assignment.  #LI-RH1

Major Responsibilities:

  • Management and supervision of the Accommodation Village operations
  • Conduct regular quality inspections of all Village facilities and ensure any maintenance or quality issues are resolved promptly.
  • Report any IR Issues to Workforce Services Manager.
  • Supports the Workforce Services Manager to manage and coordinate the Village Security.
  • Attend the Village pre-starts, toolbox and progress meetings on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure ES&H standards are being met across all Village facilities and operations.
  • Other duties as designated.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • At least 15 years industry experience in hotel or hospitality management with demonstrated management experience.
  • Tertiary qualifications. 
  • Chef qualified or trade qualifications in a related field.
  • Camp operations experience within an industrial environment is preferred. 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Sound knowledge of HACCAP regulations.
  • Sound knowledge of large volume cooking requirements and practices.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills and the Confidence to undertake public speaking in front of management and a manual craft workforce.
  • Working knowledge of database administration and security systems.
  • Experienced in contract administration, with competent commercial and financial management skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement new systems to support the broader Workforce Services strategy and services.
  • Proven interpersonal skills, including managing relationships and an understanding of conflict resolution.
  • Successful completion of a medical examination that meets site and role requirements.
