Our client is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse and Logistics Transformation Manager to join their team based in Melbourne's western suburbs. This critical role is at the forefront of a transformational journey aimed at optimizing Warehouse and Logistics operations while fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
As the Warehouse and Logistics Transformation Manager, you will lead the charge in driving change and overseeing a range of transformative initiatives.
Responsibilities will include:
Transformational Leadership:- Spearhead the transformation of Warehouse and Logistics operations, shifting from traditional methods to innovative and efficient practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to restructure and optimize existing processes and workflows.
Safety and Compliance Enhancement:
- Take the lead in improving safety standards and ensuring full compliance across all aspects of Warehouse and Logistics operations.
- Drive initiatives to mitigate risks and enhance safety procedures within the site.
People and Team Development:
- Coach and mentor team members, instilling a culture of continuous improvement and embracing transformation.
- Foster teamwork, promote safety awareness, and recognize and reward those who contribute to the transformation journey.
Optimized Operations:
- Oversee the redesign of inbound and outbound logistics processes, focusing on efficiency and timeliness.
- Streamline warehousing operations, including the reorganization of dangerous goods storage and general storage areas.
Innovative Logistics Solutions:
- Champion the implementation of innovative logistics solutions, such as pallet management processes and returnable asset coordination.
- Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including suppliers and transport carriers, to establish a seamless and efficient logistics network.
- Manage and monitor inbound & outbound activity, receiving, put away and picking tasks. Ensure holdings are stored in a manner consistent with any standard &/or regulatory requirements.
Experience/Qualifications:
To excel in this transformational role, our client is looking for candidates with the following qualifications and experience:
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in warehousing and transport operations with a strong track record in leading transformative change.
- Proven experience in successfully driving and managing change in Warehouse and Logistics environments.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with a focus on fostering a culture of innovation and safety.
- Experience in handling dangerous goods, bulk liquid, and packaged goods, with a keen understanding of the importance of safety.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing innovative logistics solutions and process optimizations.
- A deep understanding of budgeting and finance systems to support transformational initiatives.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards in logistics.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities coupled with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
