Bernardi's are looking for a bright, bubbly and helpful WAREHOUSE MANAGER for our Supermarket.
ABOUT THE ROLE....
The Warehouse Supervisor maintains the integrity & standard of all items/security moving in & out of the Warehouse door and the complete operational standard of the Warehouse storage area.
The role ensures the accurate receival of goods to invoice and distribution of them to Department Managers. Ensures nothing leaves the back dock dishonestly including waste. Temp checks of all perishable items and accurate pallet exchange.
In this role you will be Responsible for:
- Safety First - Correct use of all forklifts, pallet jacks & all other equipment. Also Ensuring compliance with all regulations. All staff using this equipment must be licenced.
- Effective communication with all key stakeholders
- Security of warehouse door & personal access doors in the vicinity– all inwards and all outwards items are checked off including waste. (waste bins locked – doors closed at all times unless deliveries in action)
- Accurate marking off all received goods and the correct delivery of all paperwork to its relevant locations. Following the goods inwards process ( REFSS ) also identifying credits for relevant DM`s. – all stock is to be marked off and signed for.
- Management of the warehouse itself, including rotation and consolidation of pallets.
- Cleanliness including clear aisles, no equipment and rubbish laying around for vermin to harbour in. At the end of every day the warehouse should be neat and tidy.
- Identifying Date Sensitive stock and communicate with the relevant Dept managers to clear.
- Ensure all goods and hazardous chemicals are stored as per work place safety
requirements - Organisation and preparation of allocation of space for incoming loads.
- Ensure Food Safety requirements are met at all times
- Maintain equipment in a clean and serviceable condition in accordance with the recommended operating practices including the completion of a weekly safety check
- Maintain loading docks, drive ways, car parks, walk ways etc to a superior standard at all times- swept clean and neat & tidy.
- Ensuring correct operations of all balers
- Undertake all identified training requirements associated with the position
Other duties as required from time to time, per direction

QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK SKILL REQUIREMENTS - desired but not essential
- Certificate III Logistics – Warehousing or equivalent
- Recent relevant work experience
- Current WorkCover Fork Lift (LF) Truck ticket/licence
- Current General OHS Induction Course for the Construction Industry (White Card)
- Current ‘Apply Traffic Control certification’ (Yellow Card) – optional
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Demonstrated effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and plan work to meet deadlines
- A culture of organisation and cleanliness
