• VPS Grade 3.1 ($74,580 - $82,571, plus superannuation)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Officer to join our warehouse in Tullamarine on a full-time, on-going basis!

What you will be doing

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, this role will be responsible for:

  • Receiving, storing, packing, and dispatching warehouse items while maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Leading, supporting and training pick teams during election preparations and major events.
  • Assisting with loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient freight handling.
  • Providing weekly courier services and supporting ad hoc deliveries/collections.
  • Testing and maintaining all inventory items and election office equipment
  • Maintaning the storage and retrieval of VEC records

What you will bring to the role

  • A current and valid forklift's license (mandatory. High reach and counterbalance experience  preferred)
  • A current and valid car driver's license (mandatory)
  • Demonstrated experience working in a warehouse, including the ability to control a 1-tonne vehicle
  • Ability to motivate, guide and support team members to acheive high performance
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new computer systems with proven experience in the use of MS Word and Excel
  • Commitment to the VEC's core values
