BOSS Engineering employs over 200 staff, with the majority of these based at our site in Inverell. We design, engineer, and manufacture Agriculture and Transport parts,including, Broadacre Planters, Row Crop Machinery, Air Seeders, ute trays, trailers and more! This diverse work ranges from end-to-end production, including metal fabrication, painting, and assembling products to sales and delivery.
About the RoleAs the WHS Officer, you will play a hands-on, operational role, providing advice and guidance to stakeholders, ensuring a practical, risk-based approach to WHS that supports site teams. This full-time role based in Inverell will lead the further development, implementation, and management of effective WHS systems and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Conducting regular workplace inspections and risk assessments.
- Auditing, developing and implementing WHS policies and procedures.
- Providing advice and guidance on WHS matters to employees and management.
- Investigating incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
- Delivering engaging WHS training programs and promoting awareness initiatives.
- Keeping abreast of relevant WHS legislation and best practices to ensure compliance.
- At least two years’ experience in a similar WHS role.
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation, regulations, and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organisation.
- Certificate IV or higher in WHS or a related field.
- ICAM Training.
- Salary will depend on skills and experience.
- Flexible working hours.
- 3 lunch meals provided each week.
- Early finish on Fridays.
