HR Advisor required for a QLD government department, southern suburbs of Brisbane
Your new company
We have partnered with a State Government Department, working on major project this role will be based in the southern suburbs of Brisbane. Contracted through to June 2024 you will support the HR team.
Your new role
Supporting the Manager of Human Resources duties will include:
Providing practical advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on a broad range of contemporary human resource management issues through the interpretation of legislation, industrial instruments and policies
Supporting the Principal HR Officer by providing advice to staff and supervisors regarding complaint management including employee grievances, employee conduct and performance and positive performance principles
Producing a variety of reports from departmental systems and providing to business areas to assist in decision making including providing recommendations for best practice HR management.
Providing advice to leaders regarding human resource issues
Preparing correspondence on a range of HR issues for internal and external stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
Your key success in this role will be attributed to your previous experience in a similar role preferably with the Queensland Government along with the following:
Experience using workforce data analytics including PowerBi
Knowledge of and the ability to interpret relevant industrial Acts, Awards, and frameworks
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to consult with a wide range of stakeholders
