About the Position
We are currently seeking an Account Manager to join the Customer Service/ Sales team on day shift. Prior exposure in a manufacturing setting would be an advantage.
The role requires nothing less than a team player with the ability to execute their tasks and assignments independently, whilst keeping the department head and related peers informed as to progress/status of issues.
Responsibilities
- Exercise business discretion and independent judgment regarding business operations and requirements of our customers.
- Deliver advanced and specialised account services to both maintain and up-sell customer relationships.
- Manage customer relationships by answering inbound calls and e-mail incidents, and independently researching and resolving all issues efficiently, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Review complex technical issues and determine appropriate action or escalation.
- Serve as the customers central point of contact for any incidents and coordinate resolution.
- Deliver advanced account services as assigned/required.
- Act as the point of contact for assigned clients, maintaining relationships and favourable contacts, and continuously meeting client expectations.
- Identify and act on opportunities to broker relationships between key clients to improve performance and profitability.
- Work with assigned clients to define strategies, metrics, benchmarks and objectives for each assigned account to measure performance against achieving those needs and objectives.
- Perform traffic, transaction, and cost analyses, report financial results regularly to the client to demonstrate value of the program.
- Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability.
- Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, and delivery dates.
- Provide ongoing support.
- Provide customers with product samples.
- Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices and sales.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications a related discipline
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong Excel understanding and use of Microsoft office suite.
- Exposure in ERP- SAP, M3 etc
- Ability to be a hands-on performer who is actively involved in any or all aspects of customer service as required.
- The Account Manager should be fanatical about ensuring customer satisfaction while continuing to grow and evolve client accounts.
