What the opportunity involves:
We seek an Account Manager to join our team based at Northgate, Brisbane. Reporting to the Field Sales Manager, you will be primarily responsible for the management, re-sign, and retention of targets through persuasive and effective negotiations within the portfolio.
You will be a well-seasoned sales and Account Manager, with a proactive hands-on approach, working in the office and the field building your portfolio.

Responsibilities:
- Achieve re-sign and retention targets through persuasive and effective negotiations within the portfolio.
- Develop and implement strategies and actions to maximise revenue, profitability, and growth of the overall portfolio.
- Collaborate with internal teams to maximise cross-selling opportunities and to ensure that a single cohesive face and company value proposition is presented to the customer.
- Ensure that CRM and regular sales reporting is completed accurately, efficiently and within expected timeframes to ensure current and accurate customer/market intelligence.
- Comply with defined systems and standards when dealing with internal and external customers.
- Develop and submit quotes and/or tenders to secure, re secure & grow customer revenues and margins including maximizing share of wallet opportunities and securing price increases.
- Comply with all requirements, plans, and actions to meet corporate governance and statutory obligations.
About you:
- Min 2 years exp in a strategic account management role.
- Negotiation, relationship building, and customer management skills within a complex, multi-faceted environment.
- High level of problem-solving skills with a ‘can do’ approach within a solution-selling environment.
- Strong presentation and proposal/tender skills (written & verbal).
- Knowledge of the waste industry and waste products is desirable.
- Ability to develop long-term customer partnerships to secure reoccurring profitable revenue.
- Significant financial/commercial skills.
- Superior stakeholder relationship skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing, sales, or related studies, is desirable but not essential.
- Intermediate IT skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Database and Customer Relationship Management
- tools).
