What the opportunity involves:

We seek an Account Manager to join our team based at Northgate, Brisbane. Reporting to the Field Sales Manager, you will be primarily responsible for the management, re-sign, and retention of targets through persuasive and effective negotiations within the portfolio.

You will be a well-seasoned sales and Account Manager, with a proactive hands-on approach, working in the office and the field building your portfolio.

 The role does offer flexibility and fosters an environment of trust, value, and integrity.  You will thrive off learning and development opportunities along with scope for growth within the business all while being supported by a strong management team.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve re-sign and retention targets through persuasive and effective negotiations within the portfolio.
  • Develop and implement strategies and actions to maximise revenue, profitability, and growth of the overall portfolio.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maximise cross-selling opportunities and to ensure that a single cohesive face and company value proposition is presented to the customer.
  • Ensure that CRM and regular sales reporting is completed accurately, efficiently and within expected timeframes to ensure current and accurate customer/market intelligence.
  • Comply with defined systems and standards when dealing with internal and external customers.
  • Develop and submit quotes and/or tenders to secure, re secure & grow customer revenues and margins including maximizing share of wallet opportunities and securing price increases.
  • Comply with all requirements, plans, and actions to meet corporate governance and statutory obligations.

About you:

  • Min 2 years exp in a strategic account management role.
  • Negotiation, relationship building, and customer management skills within a complex, multi-faceted environment.
  • High level of problem-solving skills with a ‘can do’ approach within a solution-selling environment.
  • Strong presentation and proposal/tender skills (written & verbal).
  • Knowledge of the waste industry and waste products is desirable.
  • Ability to develop long-term customer partnerships to secure reoccurring profitable revenue.
  • Significant financial/commercial skills.
  • Superior stakeholder relationship skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing, sales, or related studies, is desirable but not essential.
  • Intermediate IT skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Database and Customer Relationship Management
  • tools).
