School Locker is a vertically integrated apparel manufacturer, manages retail stores for our education partners and offers direct procurement solutions across a broad product mix. In Addition, we are an Apple and Microsoft provider to the education industry and are the exclusive education licensee for New Balance Team Sports apparel and merchandise in Australia.

We are looking for an Account Manager to join our National team, based in South Australia the successful applicant may also cover areas of Victoria and Tasmania .

The Role

Account Managers are the primary face of School Locker to our institution  customers. Their role is to support and develop relationships across our B2B partner customers and leverage these relationships to identify and close new business opportunities. This is a selling and service role, where you will draw on the support of a network of Business Development Managers, and an inhouse Apparel Development Team for subject expertise and sales support. 

Account Managers are responsible for maintaining customer data that supports our retail business, new apparel development, and all functions required to maintain exceptional account hygiene. 

What does an Account Manager do?

  • Account Managers develop and build strong relationships with stake holders within Partnered schools and across the broader school community
  • They Identify opportunities to grow the scope of Partnership between School Locker and named customer accounts
  • They drive sales from a named set of education accounts to meet or exceed revenue targets
  • Working professionally and closely with partnered schools and their representatives to develop custom school uniform Apparel
  • They maintain accurate school account information via our internal systems
  • Key role in new partner onboarding, supporting setup of new customers, stock purchase negotiations, and ongoing service delivery
  • They leverage the expertise of the business development team to close opportunities across their named accounts
  • Work strategically with partner education institutions to align future goals of the customer with current business capabilities
  • They represent the voice of the customer in new apparel item development
  • They provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective partners
  • They create and maintain customer information in line with business systems
  • They Lead timely business reviews with senior customer stakeholders
  • They provide customer feedback to the business, what is working, what opportunities are being identified

What skills set an Account Manager up for success?

  • A passion for building strong customer relationships, able to have tough conversations, but demonstrate how the outcome is a win/win scenario.
  • Data competent, and confident discussing financial aspects of our offering with customers.
  • Technology competent, we are very systems driven organisation and knowing the systems is how you deliver for your customers!
  • Ability to work across multiple internal teams to achieve an outcome for your customer. 
  • Flexible approach to customer engagement, leveraging face to face or digital communication.
  • An ability to handle pressure, and balance competing demands on your time.
  • Attention to detail, and a proactive approach to communication.

What experience do we require?

  • Direct or indirect exposure to the School Apparel industry is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Previous experience supporting customers across the education sector desirable
  • Experience managing B2B accounts in a service capacity is desirable

Requirement

  • Working with Children Check will be required for this position and will be the candidate's responsibility to obtain.
  • Must have the ability to travel around your region to attend meetings in person on school grounds 

Offer

School Locker is offering a competitive base salary, plus car and phone allowance, plus sales commission model.
