Accountant

About the role

A great opportunity exists for a well rounded experienced Accountant, reporting to the Finance Manager, who will be responsible for our group of entities month end processes, reconciliations and reporting.

apaiser is a fast growing and dynamic company with International and Australia wide sales in luxury bathware. We have offices in Melbourne, Singapore, Bangkok, Dubai, London and New York.

This role is a full time position, located in our head office in Collingwood with some flexible working requirements.  .

Responsibilities

• Weekly preparation of sales report;
• Preparation of BAS/IAS, payroll tax, Workcover, FBT and other related reporting;
• General ledger maintenance reconciliations;
• Month end balance sheet reconciliations and inter-company journal entries;
• Payroll processing including AU, SG and UK;
• Setting up payment for superannuation;
• Recognising discrepancies and inconsistencies and solving them;
• Responding to supplier emails and related accounts queries;
• Perform day to day finance operations;
• Maintain fixed asset register;
• Using your time management skills to meet deadlines;
• Assist with general financial and HR administration;
• Ad hoc duties as and when required.
   
  Qualifications and experience
• 5+ years Accounting experience is advantageous;
• Experience using MYOB is advantageous;
• Exposure to an international business environment and practical knowledge of FX and Currency is advantageous;
• Professional ‘can do’ attitude;
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication;
• Ability to build relationships with all stakeholders;
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise workloads;
• Ability to work under pressure and autonomously;
• Self-starter with a strong focus on delivering high value results;
• Right to work in Australia.
