About the role:
The role is hands on, with direct client contact. You will be responsible for managing the compliance work for a diverse client base (spanning small to medium enterprise) and ensuring work is completed effectively and efficiently.
You must be experienced in managing the delivery and provision of advisory, taxation and business services to business entities and individual clients.
Duties will include those usually expected of a senior accountant, including but not limited to:
- BAS/IAS preparation,
- Tax planning services,
- Financial statement preparation,
- Tax return preparation (individual, company & trust),
- Client taxation & business advisory,
- Client bookkeeping advisory,
- Client systems advisory (focusing on strengthening of client internal processes, systems & controls),
- Liaising with the ATO, other statutory bodies, and financial institutions as required.
To be successful in the role you will need to:
- Have an impeccable work ethic,
- Be a CA/CPA, or currently working towards,
- Have 5+ years of taxation/accounting experience in public practice in Australia,
- Have relevant experience in the provision of client advice across a diverse range of taxation, reporting and business matters,
- Have experience working with high net worth clients and large family groups,
- Possess an excellent understanding of corporate structures, financial reporting, taxation, Div 7A, FBT and small business CGT concessions,
- Have a background in cloud-based accounting practices,
- Demonstrate a high degree of written and verbal English skills,
- Be able to work autonomously at a highly productive and efficient level (demonstrating excellent workflow planning, prioritisation, and time management skills),
- Demonstrate a passion for knowledge and personal growth,
- Be able to work with, and support a motivated and driven team,
- Hold yourself to the highest professional standards of ethics and integrity.
