About the RoleAt UniSA our Finance Unit plays an integral role in implementing effective financial and commercial practices to support the University’s needs, providing value and decision making support across a range of complex finance and business activities. We are seeking an experienced Accountant to contribute to continuous improvement in the quality and effectiveness of financial support as we continue to enhance our Finance Business Partner service focus. You will work closely with Directors and management in your aligned portfolio areas to understand business drivers and requirements.Responsibilities include complex financial analysis, forecasting, annual budgets and medium-term financial plans.About the Finance UnitThe Finance Unit is committed to implementing effective financial and commercial practices to support the University’s needs. Qualifications in a finance related discipline with relevant accounting experience and a professional accounting designation
Experience working in an accounting position that required the development of forecasts, budgets and financial plans within a complex environment
Knowledge of and experience in applying financial and accrual accounting standards, structures, principles and practices
Experience in the integration and analysis of multiple finance activities
High level written and verbal communication skills and liaising effectively with a wide variety of staff
