About the role
We are in a phase of continuous growth and are actively seeking an Accountant to join the Business Advisory team, located in the Brisbane office. Our accounting, advisory and tax experts deliver innovative solutions, tailored to the clients personal or business needs. Our experts work with businesses of all sizes, helping to improve performance and achieve strategic growth.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in public practice coupled with ongoing or impending commencement of either CA or CPA qualification is highly desirable. In this role you will enjoy providing a high level service to a range of client groups including individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies.
- Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, and general purpose reports for various entities and industries
- Conduct tax research and handle general tax administration tasks, including GST, PAYG, BAS, and IAS preparation
- Serve a diverse client base, resolving issues, and addressing individual client needs
- Perform journal adjustments, reconciliations, and supporting work papers for clients' accounts
- ADHOC industry support as necessary
About you
- A degree in either Accounting, Business or Commerce
- Proficiency in IT and computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office
- Professional, client focused and invested in wanting to develop into a trusted subject matter expert and advisor
- Excellent prioritisation, attention to detail, time management and organisational skills with the ability to adapt in high pressure situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
