Located at the Head Office in Rockhampton, we are seeking to employ an ambitious and proactive Accountant / Financial Controller with outstanding skills and abilities to work as part of the team in achieving company goals and vision.

Reporting to the General Manager and Directors, your new role will involve a view of continuously streamlining and integrating business processes.

You will also have the responsibility for managing and producing monthly management reports and ensuring financial budgets obligations are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and manage efficient cash flow practices and budgeting
• Meet the daily operating requirements of the business
• Preparation of monthly financial reports
• Lead preparation of annual budgets. Review/prepare reports/presentations as required
• Conduct efficient reviews and advise on appropriate strategies to achieve improved results
• Preparation of modelling for financial forecasting
• Lead to ensure strong communication of roles, responsibilities and expectations
• Maintain stocktake and asset registers
• Assistance with all general office duties as required
• Oversee of the purchasing function and ordering system to ensure that the most cost-efficient use of resources is achieved 

Skills and Qualifications:

• Financial management experience
• Personal integrity. Be a proactive problem solver
• Thorough knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
• You must be driven, ambitious, with the ability to think on your feet
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, advanced in Excel
• Previous experience in Business intelligence tools

Required Licences / Certificates:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Commerce
