COMPANY ACCOUNTANT/OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
We are seeking a Company Accountant/Office Administrator role at our Towage Operation at Hay Point, Mackay Qld.
Major Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Full accounting function including payroll, debtors, creditors, journals, Business Activity Statements, Payroll Tax returns. Budgets.
- Account reconciliations.
- Employee leave provisions.
- Ensure the financial integrity of the business by developing and maintaining efficient recording and reporting systems.
- Financial reporting to Directors each month
- Employee superannuation returns
- Novated Leases.
- Employee rostering.
- Administration support - Answer phone calls-Emails/ relay messages, organize and file documentation.
- Support to General Manager, Engineering Superintendent and Safety & Compliance Officer as required
- Stores requisitions as required.
- On call for shipping scheduling as per roster
- Support on call /duty officer during office hours
- Other duties as assigned.
- Reporting back to the General Manager.
Function specific competences/skills:
- Knowledge and experience in accounting practices.
- Knowledge and experience in company secretarial practices would be highly regarded.
- Knowledge and experience in administrative functions.
- Previous experience with MYOB or similar.
- Proficient with Microsoft software.
