Accounting Officer

Job Summary:

We are actively seeking a detail-oriented and organised individual to join our team at the Head Office, playing a pivotal role in supporting our Financial Controller. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a diverse range accounting and financial tasks, with clear avenues for career growth into financial analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and accurate records.
• Efficiently allocate deposits to COD transactions.
• Prepare and process invoices, ensuring accurate records.
• Execute banking transactions and maintain up-to-date financial records.
• Reconcile accounts receivable/payable, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
• Perform routine weekly/monthly financial tasks, meeting deadlines and maintaining financial stability.
• Collaborate with the Financial Controller to prepare financial reports and analysis.
• Utilise BAS Excel reconciliation models for accurate reporting and analysis.
• Support auditing procedures by providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in finance and accounting roles.
• Degree or tertiary education in Finance and/or Accounting.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with high accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve discrepancies in financial records.
• Proficient in Excel and experience with financial software.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, while also collaborating effectively with team members.
