Accounts Payable Officer

The Hangan Group is a dynamic company based in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, who is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our expanding team. 

As an Accounts Payable Officer at The Hangan Group, you will be responsible for handling various aspects of our financial operations including general Accounts Payable, bank account reconciliation in Xero, paying bills and invoices. This is a casual position that offers flexibility in terms of days/hours – it is perfect for parents returning to the workforce, students, or individuals seeking a shorter work week. 

However, this role will require one day working on either Wednesday or Friday. 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable, including processing vendor invoices and payments 
• Reconciling of bank accounts using Xero to ensure accuracy and transparency 
• Efficient payment of bills and invoices, including accurate record management 
• Use of Xero software 

What you bring to the role 

• Previous experience in Accounts Payable or a related role will be highly regarded 
• Proficiency in using Xero accounting software 
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially regarding financial record-keeping 
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities 
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
