The role:
The purpose of the Accounts Payable & Receivable Officer’s role at Yurra is to ensure payment for goods and services are received in a timely manner and recorded accordingly.
You will be part of a small but vibrant Finance team where your role will be exposed to a diverse range of tasks.
You will be responsible for the following:
• Maintaining the billing system
• Liaise with debtors to ensure prompt payments.
• Generating invoices and account statements
• Performing reconciliations
• Maintaining accounts receivable files and records
• Producing monthly financial and management reports
• Investigating and resolving any irregularities or enquiries
• Assisting in general financial management and analysis
• Process Accounts Payable & Receivable in a timely manner
• Creditor & Bank reconciliation
• Client invoicing
• Inter-company invoicing
• Processing supplier invoices against Purchase Orders
• Other varied administrative tasks and general office duties where required.
About you:
Based in our Perth office, you will have previous proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Officer as well as:
• Certificate IV in Finance, Bookkeeping or Accounting
• Minimum 3 years’ experience an accounts receivable/payable role
• Experience in Mechanical or Mining/Civil Construction (highly desirable)
• Excellent attention to detail
• Exceptional organisational skills
• Experience with MYOB Advanced (preferred)
• Solid MS office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Confident interacting with senior management and external customers
• Strong computer literacy and data entry skills
• Ability to plan and prioritise workload.
• Ability to work both individually and in a team environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
