Accounts Payable & Receivable Officer

The role outline:

• The role of the Accounts Payable Officer is to effectively manage and reconcile the payments of invoices.
• The role of the Accounts Receivable Officer is to effectively manage and reconcile incoming payment of invoices
• The Accounts Payable Officer is expected to have experience in a multi-company environment and have an understanding of intercompany transactions. The Accounts Payable Officer is also expected to have experience in a multi-currency environment and understand basic foreign exchange principles. 
• Must have great attention to detail, be self-motivated and willing to learn quickly and ask questions when required. 

The key tasks of the Accounts Payable Officer will include, but are not limited to:

• Managing supplier payments by liaising with departments for approval of invoices prior to processing payment
• Recording all supplier payments in Pronto and applying them to the correct invoice.  Ensuring expenses are allocated to the correct GL account and GST is accurately recorded.
• Performing payments runs with Pronto and importing payment files into the CommBiz platform for weekly payments (Thursday)
• Entering manual payments as needed into the Commbiz platform.
• Reconciling supplier balances to Supplier statements prior to payment.

The key tasks of the Accounts Receivable Officer will include, but are not limited to:

• Managing all incoming payments and liaising with departments to help reconcile multiple accounts
• Showing close attention to detail to ensure the accurate reconciliation of accounts
• Previous experience with Pronto is highly regarded
