We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join our busy finance team at our Fremantle Head Office on a full-time permanent basis.
You will be responsible for:
- Gather and verify invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment
- Maintain Accounts Receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
- Monitor and collect Accounts Receivable by contacting clients via telephone, email, and mail
- Prepare analytical and ratio analyses relevant to A/R so management can gain a better understanding of how collection efforts are progressing
- Support other accounting and finance team members, inventory management, and cost accounting
- Establish, develop and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external customers
- Professionally and timely respond to all enquires and request from customers, suppliers
We would like to hear from you if you have the following:
- 2+ years’ experience in an Accounts receivable role
- A degree or certificate and similar experience in Accounting / Commerce
- Excellent communication skills and time management skills
- Demonstrated experience in identifying opportunities to improve processes in a Finance role
- Have a working knowledge of accounting methods and accounting software systems
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills
- Strong time management with the ability to meet deadlines and the ability to manage multiple tasks
