$60,000 per annum

5 days a week - 38 hours per week

As an Accounts Officer, you will play a pivotal role in the financial operations across 4 departments within our company, ensuring seamless management of incoming and outgoing finances.  

Your role will be primarily responsible for maintaining the payable processes and various accounts receivable functions, as well as handling cash takings and branch banking.

Your eye for detail and are critical for success in this dynamic role. You are expected to perform the duties and responsibilities with a high level of accuracy through both manual accounts processes and through Xero software.

Managing Accounts Payable, including: 

• Cross-checking invoices with purchase orders and stock receivables.
• Review, assess, and process supplier invoices and ensure all invoices are duly authorised and ready for payment.
• Reconciliation of supplier statements and General Ledger accounts
• Following up queries

Managing Accounts Receivable, including: 

• Payment receipting of Department Cash Sales
• Reconciliation of Department Cash Sales to journals
• Monitor the Debtors’ balance
• Provide support to other team members through information collation, sharing and efficient recording of information/requests

Other Accounting Duties, including:

·         Reconciliation of actual inventory balances with book balances

·         Complete Daily Management Report “DMR”

·         Perform monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts

·         Monthly analysing and reporting on the factors compared with the previous year for each expense accounts
