Provide administrative and financial support for the Education Strategy portfolio at Charles Darwin University (CDU)
About the Position
As an Administration and Finance Officer, you will work collaboratively with the senior leadership team to provide effective and efficient administrative and financial functions for the Education Strategy Portfolio. Your duties will include:
- Providing timely and effective organisation of face to face and online meetings including the preparation of agendas, collation and distribution of discussion papers and taking and distributing minutes in a timely manner.
- Organising and arranging face to face and online activities, including Teaching & Learning Awards, events and professional development programs including invitations, attendance documentations, nominations, booking and setting up rooms, securing and testing equipment, catering, photocopying handouts, distributing information and materials.
- Booking and processing travel arrangements for Education Strategy staff and consultants
- Establishing and maintaining the portfolios administrative processes and systems.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
- Completion of a degree or an Advance Diploma qualification and at least one (1) year’s subsequent relevant experience in Administration and Finance or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- High level written communication skills, with the ability to take minutes, write content and compile reports using a variety of digital tools.
- Demonstrated verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear information and to communicate effectively with staff.
- Advanced level of technical proficiency in administrative and financial systems and platforms, including the use of desktop computer applications.
- Track record in delivering against a schedule of administrative and financial deadlines.
- An outstanding commitment to customer-service for internal and external customers alongside administrative excellence.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement of processes and practices, including the use of analytics and stakeholder feedback.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional level 5. The base salary will be in the range of $72,061 to $83,249 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $84,311 to $97,401 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
