Eight Mile Plains Satellite Hospital:
The Eight Mile Plains Satellite Hospital is one of seven new healthcare facilities being delivered in South-East Queensland under the Queensland's Government's Satellite Hospital Program. Managed by Logan Hospital, the facility will be designed to provide healthcare services, closer to home for the rapidly growing community.
The Eight Mile Plains Satellite Hospital will include:
- a minor injury and illness clinic
- day therapies including kidney dialysis, chemotherapy, allied health and specialist outpatient services.
Logan Urgent and Specialist Care Centre:
The Logan Urgent and Specialist Care Centre will deliver a new, purpose-built facility to be known as the "Meadowbrook Health Centre" and is expected to open in late 2024. Meadowbrook Health Centre will provide a new Minor Injury and Illness Clinic and a Women's Health Outpatient Clinic.
The Minor Injury and Illness Clinic will offer free, walk-in treatment for conditions not anticipated to be life-threatening. It will operate from 8am to 10pm, seven days a week, and is designed to help take pressure off Logan Hospital's emergency department for patients who do not require care in an acute hospital setting. The Women's Health Outpatient Centre will provide a contemporary and convenient facility for local women attending antenatal and gynaecological appointments and tests.
