The successful candidate will be available Monday - Friday between 7:30am to 5:00pm, with flexibility based on a 25-32 hour week, with potential to develop into a full time permanent role. Must have prior experience in a similar fast paced environment and a working knowledge of administrative and transport/3PL practices. You will need to effectively apply these skills and demonstrate a firm understanding of data entry techniques and general clerical duties and will need to show dedication and commitment to the role.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide a superior customer service experience with a positive attitude.
- High level administrative skills.
- Answer and screen telephone calls for all staff members and take messages when appropriate.
- Have sound understanding of transport and warehouse bookings and planning.
- Ensure that requests for assistance are directed to the appropriate staff member in a timely manner.
- Perform general typing and administrative assignments, including data entry, as and when required.
- Maintain a good working relationship with the management and team.
- Handle initial customer inquiries and complaints before passing on further.
- Communicate effectively and courteously with all employees and external customers.
- Any other duty as reasonably directed.
To be successful you will need to demonstrate:
- Working knowledge of data and administrative practices and procedures.
- Ability to effectively apply clerical practices and procedures.
- Adaptable and a quick learner.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office programs.
- TMS experience an advantage.
- SAP experience an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
- Calendar management and scheduling experience
- Be a proactive team member with a dynamic and committed work ethic.
