About Mental Health Hospital in the Home (MHHITH)
An initiative coming out of the Royal Commission, the Barwon MHHITH is one of a limited number of HITH programs being established and evaluated across the state of Victoria. The service provides timely and effective, intensive treatment and support for individuals aged 16 years and older with high acuity mental health and / or AOD needs, in their home environment. The service provides 9 adult and youth acute mental health bed-equivalent packages of care and operates 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week.
About the role
As the successful applicant, you will provide clerical, secretarial and receptionist services to the MH HITH team in order to support the service to provide courteous, efficient and clinically effective care for people with major mental illness and/or drug and alcohol issues.
To be successful in this role you will possess the following skills and experience:
An excellent knowledge in all Microsoft Office applications
Excellent keyboard skills
Competence in the use of office equipment including photocopiers, facsimile machines, scanners, electronic switchboard and computers
Able to communicate with all internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner
Apply principles of confidentiality and patient privacy
Ability to organise tasks and work environment efficiently with minimal supervision and under conditions of competing demands
Remuneration – Approximately $30.77 per hour + superannuation + salary packaging
