Our team is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Project Controller to start immediately in our busy Townsville office on a fixed term contract of 12 months.

What will a day in this role look like:

  • Working in teams to ensure proper controls on the projects and assisting Project Managers (PM's) and operational leaders to deliver optimal profit and cash results for AECOM.

  • Drive the P&L and cash performance of AECOM by providing insight to PM's and operational leaders on how project and business profitability and cash performance can be improved.

  • Monitor and prepare financial information relating to the projects within their portfolio and ensuring that project risks and opportunities are identified early.

  • Be based in our busy Townsville office and work across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

What are we looking for from you?

  • Some experience (ideally 2 years +) in a project accountant or controller role, preferably within an Engineering or Construction environment.

  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts including how project information and performance relates to P&L and cash performance.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Competent in systems: Oracle, Project Finance systems, MS office suite

  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and the ability to develop relationships.
